whatever is on my mind….

About Me

I am living out here in ‘flyover country’ and I am deeply worried about what the future holds for future generations of Americans.  We live and work on our family farm, raising cotton, peanuts, cattle, gardening and playing with our grandchildren, including one great-grandson.

I am a Christian Conservative who believes that the Constitution is America‘s cornerstone and that this country was established because the founders believed in freedom of religion not freedom from religion.

The purpose of this blog is to find like-minded people who want to actively work to bring our nation back to our founding principles.

I will be posting about whatever is on my mind today….

That handsome man in the pic is my DH & BFF (Dear Husband and Best Friend Forever, of 45 years)

I am right there with you.

    • Thanks Jennifer! Hope all is well at Walnut Creek!

Charming and more relevant today than ever, love, family and tradition. Strength in family is the cornerstone of Anglo Saxon life. Collectivists seek to destroy this for it threatens their mission, one of control and mayhem.

God Bless you in your endeavours.

    • Thank you for the kind words and for the comments! Y’all come back often!

  3. Well hello there. What a lovely couple! Thx for visiting over at mine. I’ll be back to have a look around when I can (I’m not as active as many bloggers).

  4. Excellent. We are all blessed to have people such as you fighting the good fight. In the end, we will win because we have right on our side.

    • I pray that we do win because I can’t bear the thought of the alternative, especially for our grand babies!

      • I refuse to think of or acknowledge the alternative. We must win and we will win.

      • That is the reason I keep on keeping on…..

  5. I too live in flyover country. I am really tired of the self-annoited elites. Certainly anyone over 60 has a better general education than these people. Is Obama really a professor of constitutional law? I don’t think he even knows the constitution.

  6. Thanks for the “like” on The Rat’s Right. Love the title of your blog.

  7. AfterShock

Proud to be an American right along with ya!

    • Thanks for the flyover! Come back again sometime!

  8. Thanks so much for the reblog!! Annie

Thank you for your recent reply to my comment. I think we may have several things in common having come from similar foundations. I read a little of your bio and even find we may be near the same age and have been married about the same number of years. My husband and I are 65 and celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary this July. We are retiring this year and are entering a new chapter in our lives. I have entered a new chapter in my life by creating my blog and posting some of my writings on it with the hope too that my faith and belief can make a difference to others reading it. I have found some people out there that just don’t have any hope for their future or a new day. I have prayed for them and hoped that what I write will cause ones to think about how their lives can be changed and made better when given a chance at salvation in Jesus Christ if they make the decision to accept him so they can have hope and eternal life.

    • We do seem to have a lot in common. I am 62 and hubby will be 64 this month. We will celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary in October. We started young and it has only gotten better with time! I started this blog primarily because I am very worried and frustrated about the country. I think government is warped and not sure it can be righted. However, over the last few months I have begun to focus on my blessings and the joy we have everyday. My faith and family sustain me and no matter what we will continue to live and worship our Lord God until He calls us home. Strength for the day and hour are provided and all things work to the good of those who love Him.

Your blog mission can only help and hopefully encourage those seeking peace. May you continue and grow in your mission.

Thanks for taking the time to check me out. I have looked over your blog and enjoy what your share very much!

Thank you. I believe we both can use our blog as a positive ministry tool to impact and influence another one’s life, even if only to bring encouragement and hope to one who has none. That is certainly my prayer.

    • Thank you and I join in the same prayer.

  11. I’m glad I found your blog. I enjoy reading it. Thanks for following me. ’I’m finally on Facebook, the demon of social media. I’m sitting alone here in my tiny dark corner of Facebook waiting for your visit. Please come and see my new Facebook page and for heaven sakes…Like me!!

    • Hello! Thanks again, I don’t know any other way to live. If not for faith there would be no hope, then what would be the point. We are created by God and for God!
