flyoverhere

whatever is on my mind….

little feet….

Little feet,

so tiny and new.

So fresh, so sweet,

like morning dew.

I kissed them softly,

patted them on my cheeks,

counted the toes,

along with the weeks.

Weeks became years,

flying too fast.

Pitter Patter, Pitter, Patter,

I listened with love.

and yet still hear,

those little feet,

never more dear.

  1. I love your little poem. Is it about your children or grandchildren? I have four grandchildren, two of them twins, (boy and girl), children of my oldest girl. They are almost 19 and have just graduated from high school. My other two grandchildren are my youngest girl’s and are also boy and girl, but ages 4 (Trevor) and 18 mo.(Alyssa). My husband and I are very blessed to have great kids, and grandchildren, and all of us very close. I have written poems too, about my girls and grandkids and posted pictures ,etc. on my facebook page and blog. It is always nice to learn a little more about new friends made through the blog. Have a blessed day.

    • Thank you Joyce! It is about all our children. We have two daughters ages 43 and 37. The oldest has 3 children ages 27 girl, 22 boy and 2 girl (a surprise). The youngest has one age 3 girl, they waited almost 15 years for her. The oldest granddaughter has one almost 3, our great grandson!

They all live close to us and we see them all the time. We are so proud of all of them. The little ones are the joy of our life right now. We get to keep them often and they are very entertaining.

It is nice to learn more about fellow blogging friends. You have a blessed day too!
