I have been seeing this bird for two days. They always show up here on their way farther north. Probably in the next couple of days a large flock will show up and hang around for 3 or 4 days. I always enjoy seeing them. I tried to get a pic but he was being very illusive so I found one online. Link posted below.
Its brilliant yellow head, together with its loud, rusty-hinge call, make the Yellow-headed Blackbird a conspicuous presence in western wetlands. It breeds in loose colonies and places its nest over water, attached to cattails and reeds.
We only have a small man-made pond here so that is why they move on quickly.
